March 8, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeWHEN: March 8th, 2018, 2 PM-3 PM CST

University of Illinois.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Managers of turf and other lands including those of Park and School Districts,

SUMMARY: Planting the right plant in the right place plays a large role in the success of a
natural lawn care (NLC) or integrated pest management (IPM) program. For this
webinar, Geoff Rinehart, former coordinator of the Grass Roots Initiative at the
U.S. National Arboretum, and Thomas Voigt, researcher of low-input turfgrass
varieties, cover the cool-season grasses that will jump-start your NLC/IPM program
this spring.
The Midwest Grows Green Lawn & Land Forum is a collaboration between MPAC
and the Illinois Sports Turf Managers Association and funded by the North Central
IPM Center to document, summarize, and improve the state of Integrated Pest
Management and Natural Lawn Care policies and practices locally, regionally, and
nationally. All summaries, findings, and resources developed from this forum will
remain open source to turf managers, policymakers, and individuals interested in
applying IPM policies and programs to their work.
